Video projection on black glass

In the video installation The Objective Lake a man is seemingly endlessly searching for the ideal and beautiful view of a lake. The lake on the other hand is, as we expect, passively unaware of this search and expectation. The video is projected onto black glass, making the landscape appear as if night time, producing a darkened reflection in the space. The black glass is inspired by so called Claude Glass which was used in the 18th century to view picturesque landscapes.
